About Us
The initiative consists of the delivery of a training and mentorship program in the fields of Graphic Design and Digital Marketing which will equip participants with the marketable skills needed to earn income on some of the top online freelancer websites such as Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer and People per Hour.
Students are trained on their technical and soft skills as well as receive daily assistance from highly experienced mentors and facilitators, while they are also be encouraged to start taking on online jobs to start earning income during the training program itself.
The training is delivered to the successful applicants through Learnio Academy’s online learning platform. Upon successful completion of the training, students receive a final certification from the program that can be verified by prospective clients.

HPF was founded by Ms. Pernille Kruse Madsen in 2014, a former corporate lawyer turned activist. Pernille decided to commit her life to providing education and opportunities for those most in need after witnessing the devastating faith of girls without access to education. Pernille was joined by a group of visionary business people Founding Partners, who have supported HPF with strategic guidance and full funding of the organisation’s Copenhagen based Management Team. All HPF‘s overhead expenses are funded by the Founding Partners.
Bhanujan Secondary School, located in Taplejung, Nepal, is a community-based educational institution known for providing quality education from early childhood development to grade 12. With its affiliation to the National Examination Board (NEB) and approval from the Ministry of Education, the school offers diverse educational programs and aims to empower students for a brighter future. The school is in charge of the IT Academy to facilitate the digital skills training programs in collaboration with Learnio and the Human Practice Foundation.
Learnio is a Danish Social Enterprise founded in 2014. Our mission is providing affordable digital skills education and job opportunities. We have educated people in 20+ countries with partners such as World Bank, SOS Children’s Villages, Maersk, DHL and more. Its Staff, Management, and Ownership are all dedicated to providing impact by lifting people out of poverty by providing quality digital and soft skills education with personal mentoring of its students on how to earn a living online.
We have also partnered up with the local municipality in Taplejung.
Our cooperation with the local municipality is pivotal to the success and sustainability of the IT Academy. All Rural Municipality (RM) Chairmen are integral members of the Steering Committee, which is led by the District Coordination Committee (DCC) Chief. The local municipality has firmly committed to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the IT Academy, demonstrating their dedication to fostering technological education and development.
